Tidy Up, Be Bitter about Litter – The Hamilton County, along with neighboring towns and cities, are celebrating the Earth Day by having a community-wide event called “Tidy Up, Be Bitter about Litter.” The event is aimed at getting friends and families together in the communities to help clean up their locales. The event is to be held on Saturday April 24 between 9 AM to 12 PM. The local municipalities are setting up specific clean-up sites so that people can pick up litter and trash from specific locations. Earth Day Indiana – This is one of the biggest Hoosier events for Earth Day. Held at the white river state park on the last Saturday of April between 11 AM and 1 PM, there would be over 130 environmental and conservation exhibits, live music, activities for kids and food. Earth Day ArborFest – On April 26, the Noblesville County is presenting their second annual Earth Day ArboFest from 9 AM to 12 PM at Forest park. This is a one-day event which focuses on “The Wonders of Watershed” to celebrate the earth, its trees and our communities and to increase our awareness to take care of our environment. This is a free event and is perfect for families and kids to learn methods to protect our environment. Check out this website for more details. Families can enjoy free breakfast sponsored by Noblesville Sunrisers Kiwanis, get free seedlings along with planting information and much more. There are children’s activities and people can recycle their e-waste as well as shred their documents for a donation.
Fairyville Trail – As part of Nickel Plates Arts association, the Fairyville Trail is a fun four-day event from April 22 to 26 where people can walk through the Fairyville Trail filled with fairy houses exhibits, make fun fairy themed crafts, soak in Earth Day Art exhibit made locally and nature inspired.
