If you are arriving from a late-night flight, a late-night movie, or a nightclub, you may want to find to a great place to eat. Of course, there are the typical 24-hour fast food places, even the usual Steak Shakes, Village Inn, or Denney’s. But what other places in the Tampa area can be a great place to eat late? Here is a great list of a variety of restaurants to satisfy that late night hunger especially if it is with a group of friends.

Taco Bus has five Tampa Bay locations. Each of them has late hours including the Downtown location (which closes at 3am). The Hillsborough Ave. restaurant is open Sundays to Wednesdays from 11am to 4am, Thursdays to Saturdays, 24 Hours. It has the perfect location; the dead center of the city. Taco Bus was originally a successful food truck featuring low cost authentic Mexican cuisine. The original Taco Bus can be spotted at the many Tampa Bay outdoor food truck events. Each restaurant has ample parking and accessibility.

This long time Seminole Heights landmark is another centrally located restaurant and it is also open 24/7! There’s plenty of parking and a very family atmosphere. It may not be the best parts of town to be in at 2am but if you just happen to be and you are very hungry; Three Coins would be perfect. The menu consists of mainly typical American low cost food such as burgers, spaghetti, Ruben sandwiches, salmon, steak and eggs.

Anise Global Gastrobar is a nice former food truck restaurant with late hours located in downtown Tampa. Hours are Sundays to Thursdays, 11am to 1am, Fridays and Saturdays from 11am to 2am. This is a favorite late night eat for Tampa resident, Alaine Procko-Oliveri and Alexandra Desmond, a Tarpon Springs resident. Alaine likes the quiet downtown feel of Anise. Alexandra said that, “Their stinky buns are fantastic, and they have a nice variety of food. Portion sizes were good too.” She also added that Anise has a “very eclectic atmosphere and is reasonably priced. Also a nice assortment of classic mixed drinks.”
Ciro’s Speakeasy and Supper Club. Ciro’s Speakeasy and Supper Club 2109 Bayshore Blvd. Tampa, FL 33606 (813) 251-0022.
This is a decidedly upscale late night restaurant located in one of the more affluent parts of Tampa. Many come for the 20’s Prohibition era feel of the establishment. Hours are Monday to Wednesday from 5:30 pm – 1:00 am, Thursdays to Saturdays, 5:30 pm – 3:00 am and Sundays from 6:00 pm – 1:00 am. Alaine said that Ciro’s is a great place for a special time and group get togethers. Tampa resident, Ryan Paulson has been to Ciro’s three times. He loves the good drinks, dim lighting, private booths, and the unique food. Tina Jiva of St. Petersburg is particularly a big fan of Ciros. She said, “the drinks and food are awesome and unique, and the service is excellent. It has a really cool 1920’s vibe. I have never had a drink or dish I didn’t love. The private booths are really cool also. I’ve never had an issue with parking there.”
