Antique shops are a great place to get unique items. Here are four great antique shops worth checking out in Folsom, California.
1. The Market Place.
The Market Place is located at 1325 Riley Street in Folsom. This is a unique shop because it’s set up like a mall with assigned spots for each vendor. Most of the items sold are vintage and antique while other items showcase new products and services from local businesses. I’ve personally gone here and there’s one vendor that I really like because they specialize in selling old Disney figurines. The Market Place is open from 10 am to 7 pm Monday through Saturday and closed on Sunday. For more information about The Market Place call 916-984-4220.
2. Carriage House Antiques.
Carriage House Antiques is located at 728 Sutter Street in Historic Folsom. This antique shop is packed with antiques from wall to wall. My mother has actually found a lot of ceramic roosters that she uses as home decor at this antique shop. I really suggest to anyone that is looking for antiques to display around your home to check this place out since all of their items are display worthy. For more information about Carriage House Antiques call 916-985-7416.
3. Not Too Shabby.
Not Too Shabby is also located in Historic Folsom at 729 Sutter Street, right across the street from Carriage House Antiques. There is a parking garage in Historic Folsom so most of the shops on this list are accessible by walking. Not Too Shabby specializes in antique furniture and home decor. They have a very large selection of dressers, hutches, tables, and chairs. I consider this a more of a feminine shop as most the items found inside it have feminine appeal. This is not at all surprising since it’s ran and operated by 8 women. The shop is located next to a chocolate shop which means that this would be a great girl’s night (or day) out. For more information about Not Too Shabby call 916-985-8979.
4. Gray’s Place Antiques.
Gray’s Place Antiques is an antique shop owned and operated by a husband and wife. This shop is located in Historic Folsom at 809 Sutter Street. The owner’s have a passion of personally collecting antiques. That’s why they wanted to open a shop, so that they could share the passion with others. You’ll find many unique items within this antique shop and a lot of different glasses and delicate items. It’s best to leave the little ones home when you visit this antique shop as it is lined with very breakable items. For more information about Gray’s Place Antiques call 916-985-7722.
