If you are as tired as I am of the overdone chevron prints, you may want to consider these four alternative styles instead:
Celestial galaxy prints, such as stars, moons, planets, etc., are very fun and whimsical and are great if you want to go for a look that is literally out of this world. Dresses, skirts, and pants with this style print are all over Etsy and look great with sneakers or flats. I personally adore ethereal looking dresses with star prints paired with summer sandals and sparkly star hair accessories and simple stud earrings.
I have been seeing poppy prints creeping up on Pinterest quite a bit. These fun red flowers are perfect for spring and summer. I like to accessorize my poppy print skirt with a black tank top and black flats or sandals. Also, etsy has quite a few vintage dresses for sale from the 1970s and 1980s with poppy prints against geometric grey backdrops which provides a fun contrast of dainty and mod.
A fun and playful print, Katy Perry wore this dreamy dress to the 2014 Grammy Awards and I’ve been seeing the dress itself on social media quite a bit as well. Musical notes are a throwback to the 1950s, and look really great with pink or white. A cute look I like to rock is a vintage musical note print top with a pair of skinny jeans and sandals or ballet flats. Since this is a more whimsical print, keep your accessories minimal.
A fun summer print, nautical is classic and perfect for resort or beach wear. I have seen many nautical inspired treasuries on etsy such as this one. Embellishments and prints such as anchors, sailboats, stars, dolphins, palm trees, and even seagulls are everywhere and look fantastic with sandals and oversized beach bags. Red and white stripes (peppermint) prints look awesome with nautical themed accessories as well.
