As swimsuit weather approaches, it might be time to think about losing those five winter pounds and time for toning up your body. You can do this while at work.
Follow these five tips that can be applied at work and see results just in time to slip on your swimsuit. As always, talk to your doctor before beginning any weight loss or exercise program.
Park in the Last Spot
Change up how you think. Do not rush around in the morning to ensure you get a prime parking spot. Instead, sip your coffee slowly and when you do arrive at work, park in the spot furthest from the office building. Those extra steps every day will add up towards your weight loss.
Take the Steps-Up and Down
Take the steps. They are less crowded, doing so helps with leg tone, and use that time as a time to think or meditate. Taking the steps will burn extra calories and help you get your legs and butt ready for the pool or beach.
Consider Lunch Options
Take your lunch and snacks for better nutrition choices. But also, weather permitting; eat outside of your building. Walking to your lunch spot will burn calories and getting out of the office helps with stress relief. Exercise and disconnect for just a while.
When working at your desk, if space allows, do leg exercises. Leg crosses, heel lifts, and knee bends are the least distracting. Just do them whenever it occurs to you and it is not distracting to your work task.
Walk, Don’t Phone
If walking does not cut down on your work or quality of work, walk instead of phoning to see your co-workers. Walk to a colleague for conversation and work needs. The exercise and personal interaction will be beneficial to your health and wellbeing.
All five of these exercises can be performed daily. They do not require equipment, gym clothes, or a gym membership. Exercising at work will improve your mind and your body. Get ready for summer and swimsuits while working!
