When you speak to people about their finances, they say they are tired of being broke, busted and disgusted. They are truly tired, but can’t see clearly how to stop going from paycheck to paycheck. As a business and lifestyle coach, whom is also a ministry leader, it troubles me when they cry and cry, but hold on to that financial bondage. The challenge, in the release from bondage, comes from the recognition that YOU CAN BE RELEASED.
In order to get started you have to see that you are in a rut and believe that you can get out. Where do you want to be in the next 3 weeks? and write it down; then the next 3 months; then the next 3 years. There is breakthrough in what you can see if you focus on what you desire in a certain time frame, than to keep looking at where you are right now. Think of this as a vision board for finances for your home.
Financial breakthroughs happen for those that can grasp what they did wrong and allow that to change them to do what is right. There is money to be saved, made, and invested for all walks of life. The rich weren’t born rich; someone, in their history, had to work towards that status. Your status is to get to that point without losing your mind.
There are steps, after creating your vision board for your finances, that will help you achieve this challenge:
- Accept the fact that you can be rich even if you are broke right now
- Start eliminating what you don’t need in your everyday life (i.e.: fast food, nails done, etc)
- Put purpose to your money that you are saving
- Teach another how to do the same
It is very easy to fall into the financial bondage trap; you have to be strong enough to keep your eye on your prize.
