Whether your significant other is taking you along for the ride or you just enjoy the excitement of watching two people fight with rage in the octagon, Ultimate Fighting Championship events are a blast! But let’s face it, when it comes to deciding on what to wear you are probably clueless.
Do you dress like you are going to a football game or do you doll yourself up as if you were going to a fancy dinner? The key to finding the perfect UFC outfit as a woman is to create the perfect median between fancy and casual.
Although these fights are considered to be sporting events, they are a great opportunity to look sexy. To ensure that you are dressed appropriately for fight night, here is a list of outfit ideas:
Little Black Dress: The little black dress is a never-fail wardrobe option. When heading to a UFC event, opt your favorite black dress teamed with a nice necklace. But any club-like dress will do. As long as you’re not in a floor-length ballgown, you are UFC ready!
Skinny Jeans & A Nice Top: To remain both stylish and comfortable, break out your best pair of skinny jeans and a dressy top. This is probably the most popular option among women at UFC events because it is versatile and sexy without being too revealing or fancy.
UFC Pride : If you have a favorite fighter, you now have an amazing opportunity to show your pride! Are you team Tate or Rousey? Or maybe you just enjoy the super good looks of retired fighter Georges St-Pierre? Whatever the case may be, pair your t-shirt with a pair of skinny jeans or body-con skirt and you are ready to go. You may also be able to pick up a shirt at the event as well.
Now that you are aware of what you can wear to UFC events, you should also know that there are certain clothing items that you should avoid, such as the following:
Stilettos: If the fight is being held at an arena, you will definitely have to do lots of walking and stair jogging so do your feet a favor and ditch the stilettos for a pretty pair of flats or sandals.
Heavy Clothing: Due to the excitement, the arenas tend to get rather hot. If you’re worried about getting chilly, bring along a light sweater or cardigan but one thing is for sure, your leather jacket will not be needed.
The Color White: Chances are you’ll be sitting next time a middle aged man who has consumed his fair share of alcohol. With that being said, avoid white colors to avoid any possible nacho cheese or beer stains on your favorite white dress or top.
When it comes down to it, wear what you feel comfortable in! As a lady who has attended a UFC event, I personally recommend skinny jeans and a nice top because you can dress it up or down however you would like.
When the night comes, be confident, have and have fun! UFC events are a true adrenaline rush and an experience that you are sure to remember.
