If splish-splashing in the Gulf of Mexico doesn’t appeal to you, try one of these two exciting water parks. These adventure destinations have slides, wading pools and tons of other wonderful features. Whether you’re looking for a place for a summer camp or a locale for a church group, you’ll find some great water parks on the Gulf Coast. Both of these destinations are larger parks that you could explore for a whole day. Nearby hotels make it easy to plan a weekend for family or friends.
Gulf Islands Water Park
Want a live shark encounter without the danger? You must visit the Gulf Islands Water Park! You can also participate in scheduled celebrity meet and greet with stars from Disney-and Nickelodeon. There are tons of eating spots too like the Petit Bois Island Café and numerous hot dog stands. Enjoy a pizza or a funnel cake at the Dockside Pizza restaurant. You’ll find the water park at 17200 16th Street, Gulfport, MS 39503. Adult tickets are $29.99 and children’s admission is $21.99. Parking is free and life jackets and tubes are also provided at no charge. You can rent a locker to stash your items for $7 a day.
This water park is a sprawling 20 acre resort just ¼ of a mile from the Gulf Shore. Waterville USA has dozens of water rides, mini golf, a roller coaster and go-carts. You’ll find a bounce house, kiddie rides and tons of other activities for kids of all ages. Each admission includes entrance to the Shrimp Boat village, slides, river and a wave pool. Popular water park attractions are the Crystal Waters River, the Dune Racer, the Flow Rider and the Great White. Park admissions is $29.95 per person with discounts for seniors and military. Take the Bay Minette exit and drive south on Highway 59. Waterville is located at the 5th red light after this bridge on Highway 59.
