Fungal Grotto, which is the level 12-15 instance in Stonefalls, is great beginning to the ESO dungeon experience. While it’s best to queue with a healer, two dps, and a tank, any combination of players could complete this instance. There are five bosses in Fungal Grotto: Tazkad the Packmaster, Warchief Ozozai, Bloodbirther, Clatterclaw, Kra’gh the Dreugh king. Each of these bosses will drop individual loot (hopefully blues) for each player.
Tazkad the Packmaster is the first boss in Fungal Grotto, and therefor very easy and simple. Hecomes equipped with two adds. The tank only has to to tank the boss, and the dps should focus the adds down before engaging Tazkad. This fight is very straightforward, and your group should have no trouble completing it.
Warchief Ozozai can be a surprisingly challenging fight for groups who have not yet experienced eso dungeon mechanics. It is very important to pay attention to spell affects during this fight as well as blocking damage to assist the healer (if any). Ozozai comes with adds that should absolutely be killed first (lest they destroy your healer). The Warchief also has a leap ability which can do massive damage to it’s target (make sure to block). Also, during this fight it’s important to pay attention to your feet. If you see a red circle run away from the rest of your group because you’re about to explode and do massive aoe damage (make sure to block and use damage reducing abilities as well).
Bloodbirther is a very simple fight like the first boss. Kill his two dreugh adds first because they do high damage, and then focus the boss down.
Clatterclaw isn’t much of a boss at all (poor crab). The boss himself does negligible damage. The only thing interesting Clatterclaw does is summon massive amounts of crab adds. Make sure to aoe down the adds before killing the boss or your group could quickly be overrun with massive amounts of crabs.
Kra’gh the Dreugh King is the last boss in Fungal Grotto. He’s actually an easy boss if you avoid his abilities. The most important thing to note for Kra’gh is he periodically casts and ability which looks like a red circle that expands from his body outwards. Make sure to immediately run outside this circle or prepare be dealt massive amounts of damage and possibly die. The Dreugh King also summons adds that should be dealt with to save your healer from injury.
