What is a vision board? Well, I assume you may have heard of them. They are visual pictures and motivational words that people use as aids to encourage and motivate them towards their future dreams and goals. The way they are created are normally on cardboard with pictures and phrases or words pasted on them that highlight the goals of an individual. Vision boards can also be created in a word document or they can simply remain a mental image.
The point when creating a vision board, is to see and envision exactly what you want to manifest in your future. Let’s say for an example that you want a new car. It is not just any new car though. You specially want a 2014 Honda Civic, black in color and easy and comfortable to drive. It is sleek and shiny and perfect for going out with four of your friends and gets excellent gas mileage. Think about these details in your mind when creating your vision board. Add pictures of that exact car you want and put it in the middle of your board for emphasis. Get pictures of your friends and put them on there, since you want them to ride along with you. You can put the exact dollar amount that you know your car goes for and even put a deadline on there for when you want to have your car. Make sure it is a reasonable deadline though! You need to give yourself enough time to focus on your vision board and believe that it is possible to have what you want in your life.
Remember to add positive and motivational words and phrases to your vision board such as, success, believe, deserving, concentration, reality, and phrases like, yes I can, this is possible, I can make this happen, I deserve this, I believe this is possible, I create my reality. Also add words that relate to your dream car such as, fast car, joy ride, love my car, black car, comfortable, reliable, safe, great gas mileage. So now that you know what to put on your board, how do you make one? Easy! If you are making a physical board, you will need:
-Cardboard or poster board (You can get poster board at Michael’s crafts for cheap)
-Glue or tape
-Pictures (You can go into Google images and pull up some pictures of your liking or cut some out of an old magazine)
-words and phrases (I use word to use fun fonts and colors in my texts or Google images for positive motivating words)
If you are using word to make your vision board, simply create a new page and type out your title and add pictures. I encourage people to get as create and funky with this as possible! It is supposed to be fun and a great way to move towards your dreams.
