In today’s world everything is electronic. Electronics are in your home, car, school, street, sky, bus, train, plane and much, much more. Electronics are everywhere. You can’t shop or eat without electronics. Then you have politics and everything else political, such as polls and voting. After all of this, ask what would happen with a meltdown, or a hacking, or, heaven forbid, snooping. AAG!! Who would do such a thing?
There are only a few things that can be covered because to cover everything would take about the size of a dictionary to write it all. If you can think of anything that does not operate in any way with some sort of electronics, keep it to yourself to prevent someone will try to apply electronics to it. All in all, electronics is needed in everything today. Look at any activity and there are two versions, electronically and manually. No? There is the electric razor and manual razor. There is the motorcycle and the bicycle.
The automobile is so full of electronics that it will not operate if one component breaks down and cease to operate. The cost for repair is thousands and the first breakdown can cause the breakdown of another. To name a few components that have a bearing on snooping, spying, probing or whatever you want to call it can be almost anything in or on the vehicle (bus, train, car or truck). The speedometer is connected to a black box, the GPS, of course, is always active and signaling to a satellite. The new wave of safety features is also a way of giving out your position, speed, and all other vehicle features to a third party during and/or after an incident. If you don’t want anyone to know where you are, where you have been or where you are going, you’re out of luck. Don’t forget about the Bluetooth phone system that is connected to the cellphone. That can be used also.
The home is just as bad and, if a real hard look is done, it is more intrusive than anywhere you can be. There are intrusion alarms, motion sensors, TVs, radios, computers, telephones, high water sensors, CCTV and this is only naming some of the items that can keep tabs on you. Everyone is constantly griping about the government snooping on them, spying into their every move, but what about that corporation or individual that is not a part of the government?
That individual that is hacking or that corporation that is snooping, quite a few things can be gained from that. They can tell when you come and go from your home. They can see what lights you are using and its wattage. They can actually see you through the laptop, or the desktop computer(s). All the things in the home that can be programmed (lights, locks, etc.) can be controlled from your phone which can be hacked and can be turned against you. Turning off the phone does not solve the problem, removing the chip does. Now, you don’t have an operational phone but you have operational computers (usually more than one) which still can be used for hacking.
Don’t think about getting rid of the computers and phones because you are not out of the woods yet. Just think, you still have to eat, whether you cook it yourself or you go out to eat. Every store, on its store card, record what you buy, when, how much and, if it means anything, what color and size. That’s food, clothes, auto parts, anything and everything. If that is not enough, the restaurant records the time you are there, what you had there, and the price upon leaving.
As you now see, if you didn’t before, electronics control your life as well as watch everything you do. All of this can be seen by the government, individual or both by monitoring any and all the electronics. It’s creepy but to have the comforts of today and not revert to yesterday you have to put up with the intrusions. It’s not going to get any better, it will get worst. Now ask this question….what will happen if a massive sun flare happens and knocks out most, if not all, satellites that runs and monitors our daily life.
