How would a combination of an award-winning actor, an upright politician and a successful politician sound? Exciting! How well would it work? Only time can tell.
It’s election time in India and the world is looking forward to the results. Different elections have seen different coalitions, oppositions, tricks and dramas. This one is no different!
One interesting combination is that of a previously successful politician, a new well-known politician and a celebrity. It has happened to the awe of people that a politician Narendra Modi is emerging as people’s favorite and now becoming a nation’s preferred politician has joined hands with a Karate-Black Belt Celebrity in South India, Pavan Kalyan, who is new to the whole game of politics but is a favorite of masses, who in turn have formed a joint campaign with the ex-Chief Minister of ex-Andhra Pradesh (AP), Chandrababu Naidu, who has already created history on the world with his technology-friendly administration. The trio has been seen to be enthusiastic in promoting one another in each State of India, especially AP. They are singing to the tunes of a common goal of national prosperity.
It is all the more interesting because they all belong to different parties. Narendra belongs to BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) and is famous for his people-friendly administration in Gujarat. Chandrababu is a well-known proponent of Telugu Desam. Pavan is a newcomer with his new party Jana Sena. The trio has been seen sharing the same election platform more than once bringing in their voices, common concerns and new ways of tackling them.
The advantages brought in by the three leaders are tremendous people-following, good ruling skills and past success trail. The same can be harnessed to create wonderful improvements within the society in terms of promoting education, providing resources, enhancing employment, reducing poverty and women’s welfare in the nation.
We all know that actors have worked in politics whether it is Arnold Schwarzenegger or NT Rama Rao. Both have become legends in politics too. But the coalition or collaboration between actors and politicians is not so common. They have different styles and approaches of working. If the group wins in India, it has to work hard on fulfilling the expectations built during their ‘get-together’.
