Are you looking for a fun recipe to make with your children during Easter? Turn the deviled eggs into a fun food activity.
You will need:
10 boiled eggs
1 teaspoon mustard
2 teaspoons olive mayonnaise
salt and pepper to taste
parsley or spinach
Place the eggs in cold water and bring to a boil. Let them boil for 15 minutes on medium heat before removing them from the stove. Peel the eggs and cut them in half on their length. Remove the yolk from all eggs and place into a bowl. You will be using this as a filler for the inside of the chicks and also as material for their heads.
To the yolk add the mustard, mayonnaise and salt. On an empty plate spread some mayonnaise, which is the lake for our chicks. Fill the eggs with the filler and place them with the cut part down.
Now it’s time to make the heads. You should have some yolk filler left. Make it into small balls and attach them to the eggs with the help of a half of toothpick.
Decorate the chicks with sesame seed eyes, parsley wings (or anything else green you may have in the house) and carrot beaks. Decorate the plate with crushed dry parsley to get the same design as the one in my picture.
This recipe will make for a great afternoon time with your children. So, make those boring deviled eggs into some pretty chicks swimming on a lake.
