A while back I bought an air freshener with little scent balls. The scent was released as the scented oil evaporated from scented balls. When all the moister was gone, we were left with tiny colored balls, which I recognize as dry TAC (that stuff you put in the bottom of flower pots so you don’t have to water them as often that protect the roots from over watering). Around here it is more commonly known as spit balls. I had all the ingredients around the house so I made my own.
-Decorative Container, with or without a permeable top
-Distilled/boiled water to almost fill the container (room temperature)
-Essential oil, a few drops up to a tablespoon, depending upon how strong you want the scent.
-Dry TAC, enough to cover the bottom of the container.
-Food coloring, optional
1. Prepare your container.
2. Put the Dry TAC in the container.
3. Add the essential oil to the distilled water and food coloring, if desired.
4. Pour water into container.
5. Decorate your container, if desired.
Then the water is absorbed, the container will be almost full.
*When the moister evaporates, make essential oil mixture again and refill.
