I recently went to Disneyland Resort and Disney’s California Adventure for my two year anniversary; the trip was amazing. First off we parked in the Mickey and friends lot off of Ball st. for best access to the park. My girlfriend and I decided to bring our own food to snack on throughout the day. Disneyland allows any food in the park as long as it is not in a glass container. Right off the bat we got fast passes in both parks (one every hour in each park) and got set for the day. Park was not nearly as crowded as expected, we got a Disneyland app to check all the line times in the park which really came in handy. We went on every ride we wanted to go on! We made sure to get fast passes that generally have the longest lines and just waited for the short ones. Around one or two o’clock the park starts to clear up because everyone goes to lunch, which leaves a perfect opportunity for some rather small lines. After hitting up all of the small rides we decided to get some pictures. In front of the castle there are Disney photographers that are happy to take a picture with their camera and your own personal camera. If you do in fact use their picture it is almost immediately posted online for you to view. Season pass holders get it put onto their pass which is connected to an online gallery. Secondly we went to toon town to find the notorious Mickey Mouse relaxing in his home with some more photographers. Mini Mouse’s house is located right next door with little to no wait, which also makes for a great picture! For our anniversary dinner we decided to go the Rain Forest Cafe located in Downtown Disney. The atmosphere was amazing and a great place for a date or a family dinner. Moderate prices and great food made for a perfect dinner(also a 10-20% discount for annual pass holders)that was topped off with moving animal every 20 minutes inside the restaurant . Overall the trip was perfect and easy going, be prepared for alot of walking and try not to spend to much money inside the park. Don’t forget to watch the parade and fireworks at 9:30p.m.!
