So much goes into planning your special day, and little thought is given to what happens after the wedding day. This is something that I have learned from experience. I have finally found creative ways to decorate my home with the memories of my special wedding day. After the wedding day has ended you will want to hold on to those special moments. A lot of these ideas you can create yourself with a little bit of time and energy. Below are some suggestions to help you get started.
Vintage Window Pane Picture Frame
When it comes to using an old window pane for pictures, there are many different techniques that you can use. First you have to find the old window pane to use. I have found thrift stores to be one of the best places for this. The other are a few local garage sales. You may even spot some old window frames sitting on someone’s curb waiting for the trash pickup. There is nothing wrong with picking up this item and using it for a few wedding day pictures.
Vintage suitcase for wedding memories
A vintage suitcase can hold a lot of memories from your special day. You can also use it in your living room or bedroom as a decorative piece. It also makes a great talking piece when company comes over and asks what’s inside of the suitcase. You can keep photos from your special day, one of your party favors, wedding invitation, shower invitation, and any special notes that your spouse may have given you while you were dating, or on the wedding day. You can also store your anniversary cards in the suitcase.
Lyric Picture Frame
We all have that special wedding dance at our wedding. Usually you pick one with meaningful words that is the perfect fit for both of you. So to make a unique picture frame, why not not type up the words of the song on your computer, leave a space in the middle to fit a special wedding picture. Then the words will nicely frame your picture. Print out your lyrics on special paper to add a really nice touch to your memory photo. If you are going to use a wood frame, and you have the time, perhaps you can use permanent marker to write just the chorus part of the song onto the wood of the frame. Then you and your spouse can sign at the end. It will give the frame a really nice personalized touch.
Memory rocks are a great way to remember special occasions that happen in your life. This is something that you can start at your wedding. You can have each of your guests write a special message to you on the rock. After the wedding is over you can place all of the rocks into a glass jar to display in your home. To add an even better touch you can use an antique glass container to hold the rocks. Just be careful when you place the rocks inside of the vase.
