There are several Bible verses that can help create a happy life. Try reading these special verses and applying a bit of faith with some common sense to see if they will work for you. These are not just “feel good” quotes, but offer some real ways to change your way of thinking and how to turn sadness into smiles. All these quotes are from the English Standard Version of the Bible.
Creating happiness should begin with eliminating sadness and worry. Think about the following Bible verse if you are working too hard to be happy. Perhaps your quest to buy happiness by earning and storing money is not working, or maybe you just need to eliminate worry to begin a happy path.
Luke 12:24 says “Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds!”
Ask For Happiness
When I was in sales, I went to many training courses that said you must ask for the sale. Sometimes we get so involved in education and techniques to improve our lives that we forget to simply ask for what we want. A quick prayer or repetition of the following verse along with some faith shows us to ask for happiness or other things that might be desired.
Luke 11:9 says “And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” If you think the last verse that says “neither sow nor reap” means don’t work at happiness, this verse adds to the no worry idea. Pray, seek, and knock to open doors for happiness. Asking in prayer is really good, plus knock on the door of a friend or counselor to talk with. In the Bible pay attention to the book of Luke for happiness.
Test The Results
1 Thessalonians 5:21 says “But test everything; hold fast what is good.” I used to get mad at God because I would pray and still be unhappy. Even worse, people would give me advice based on what they claimed God told them, and my happiness suffered following that advice.
The first thing to do when you try a new idea is to test it. An addiction counselor told me a while back that addicts who stay addicted keep doing the same thing over and over again. Don’t be like an unhappy addict. If something does not work for you, keep praying, seeking, and knocking until something works. Try it, and then test the results for creating happiness.
