Having a website that features Google Adsense ads can be a way to monetize your content. But be warned if you start making some common mistakes you can have your account banned and any money you’ve made will be returned to the advertisers which mean you’ll end up with nothing. Usually once a user is banned they are permanently banned and most never get their account back. Many times these users simply made some common mistakes that all Adsense users should know.
Clicking on Your Own Ads
By clicking on your own ads you risk getting banned. Most new users make this mistake and sometimes you get a warning but then sometimes you get banned. Don’t ever click on your own ads especially if you’re logged into your Google account.
You also can not get others to click on your ads. This means that if you place some text on your website or even ask someone verbally to click on your ads you can be banned. A good way is conduct business on your site is to never mention anything about the ads like they don’t even exist.
Keep Your Site Clean
You will need a good content site that only features family friendly content and links. Linking to pornographic site or posting pornographic material will get your account banned. Make sure all the content and links that you post and rated for family.
Don’t Manipulate the Ad Code
Changing the ad code to make it look different is a big no-no. Google gives you tools that let you customize the ad unit but don’t change it to sizes that are not standard or make changes to the ad code that can cause it to display differently. You’re also not allowed to hide ads and use click jacking strategies to generate clicks on the ads.
Only Place Ads on Content that You Own
Putting ads on someone else’s work is wrong and Google doesn’t like it. Place ads only on content that is owned by you and not copyrighted by someone else. Using stolen content and scraped content will also put your account in jeopardy.
