Just how bad do you want to feel about your current earnings at your day job? Very much, you say? Well, then read on. Here are some of the figures recently in- of some celebrity 2013 earnings.
Tyler Perry: Best known as his character “Madea,” smiled to the bank with $78 million. That is most definitely enough money to buy truck loads of old lady wigs and oversize Madea dresses.
Miley Cyrus: Also at the top of highest earning celebrities of 2013, is the girl everyone suddenly loved to hate- as she twerked her way to a massive $76.5 million. A far cry from her original Disney character, “Hannah Montana”- she appears to be doing everything in her power to shake off that image; literally.
Sandra Bullock: The 2013 release of the movie Gravity secured a large chunk of the actress’ $63 million pay for the year. I wonder how much gravity that cash would pull, if converted to quarters.. hmm.
Justin Timberlake: Mr. J.T tied with Sandra Bullock at $63 million. The ladies’ man can’t possibly complain about that. If he does, ask him to cry me a river.
Chris Hemsworth: He smiled to the bank with a pretty $58 million for 2013. Not bad huh?
Beyonce: Another big earner for the year 2013, is Mrs. Carter. The “Drunk In Love” singer pulled in a whopping $57 million. If that figure did not make an impression on you, i’ll break it down a little further to add more perspective. Let’s say you make $25/hr at your job, well, put that next to her estimated hourly earnings of $6507/hr (American!). Now, that’s a good chunk of change isn’t it?
Bruno Mars: He was another big winner of 2013, pulling in an impressive $38 million. We all saw Bruno’s electric performance at the Super Bowl half time show. If you had thought to yourself, “wow, he must have been paid a lot for this.” Well, the estimated pay for that performance was $0. However, the perk is that his newest album sales jumped 164 percent within a week of the performance.
Matthew McConaughey: The Oscar winning actor went away with $19 million last year. The movie Dallas Buyers Club played a big role in spinning these greenbacks.
As you might have noticed, we can not all live the celebrity life, and earn celebrity money, all at the same time- but we can all work towards it. Okay, maybe not necessarily the celebrity aspect, but the “celebrity money” would be nice, wouldn’t it?
