Some of us would love to be able to adopt a child if we had the means. There are some celebrities who even take the initiative to care for a child from an adoption agency. Hugh Jackman is one of these amazing human beings who stepped in to make this world a better place.
Hugh and his wife, Australian actress Deborrah-Lee Furness, after having two miscarriages, have “adopted their daughter Ava, 8, and son Oscar, 13” (Daily Mail) and are glad to see that lately Australia has cut a lot of red tape around adoption. We need countries to have more liberal laws when it comes to adoption because these children deserve the chance to grow up in a supportive family. People like Hugh make this happen one adoption at a time.
Creating Supportive Families
When talking about his family, Hugh told the press “This is a formidable family who somehow change the world and make people happy about it.” (news.com) This is a commendable attitude for any adopting parent to have, as whether you are a celebrity or not, you are definitely changing the world each time you adopt a child.
