In a heartbreaking episode of MTV’s “Run’s House,” Joseph Simmons (Rev Run) and his wife Justine Simmons shared with viewers the loss of their baby shortly after giving birth. In later episodes, the couple discussed their thoughts on adoption. They ultimately adopted a daughter named Miley Simmons, and she became a joyful addition to the family and for viewers to watch. For those wondering what happened to that sweet little toddler we saw reading flashcards, “Rev Run’s Renovation” on HGTV shows her as a pink-loving 6-year-old. With each room getting its own makeover, Miley’s room is complete with a custom castle bed and hand-painted murals to create a fantasy room fit for any hip-hop princess.
TLC’s “The Little Couple” started on the premise of following the lives of Bill Klein and Dr. Jennifer Arnold. While the show does highlight some of the challenges that can come from being a little person, the main premise revolves around the love they have for one another and their growing family. The current season of “The Little Couple” premiered in March 2014 and follows the family while Jen battles against cancer and the bonds shared in a new family of four.
Elton John and David Furnish first started their road to fatherhood with their now 2-year-old Zachary. Their most recent addition is little brother Elijah, from the same surrogate they used with Zachary. The 67-year-old Elton John and 51-year-old David Furnish were recently photographed with 4-month-old Elijah all dressed up in baby blue and Zachary sporting a nautical ensemble that made the picture complete. While Elton John is famous for his generosity towards his godchildren, it seems like that’s nothing compared to how he dotes on his two adopted children. David Furnish was quoted in an interview with People titled “Elton John Introduces Son Elijah Joseph Daniel” stating, “We kept a scrapbook for Zachary with all his scans, emails with the surrogate and key moments from the surrogacy, and we are doing the same for Elijah. We want the boys to understand the spirit and love that was at the heart of the process.”
