I am a newlywed who designed every part of my own wedding. I searched high and low for bling decor but could not afford most of it. My entire wedding was under $5,000 (including the dress). These tips will take time and elbow grease but the payoff is worth it.
#1 Tip: Craft Stores -a huge bag of rhinestones and a glue gun are essential!
#2-Get glass candle holders and vases at dollar store and glue rhinestones all over them. This is
where bridesmaids come in really handy.
#3-Coupons: I clipped a 40% off coupon in the paper every week and bought one centerpiece a week.
#4-Online shopping: It is a great way to compare prices. I waited for a free shipping special and a
sale to make my purchases.
#5-Printable Invitations: I made my own and then embellished them myself. I saved a fortune.
I also used them to make my own menus.
#6-Rhinestone number stickers: They cost around a dollar. I used these for my table numbers.
I put them on a small vase with a single white rose.
#7-Bags of acrylic crystals: I bought 3 different sizes and scattered them on the tables. The
candlelight made them sparkle like crazy.
#8-Chandeliers: I found two very reasonable priced on event/part supply websites. You can sell
them afterwards for almost the same price.
#9-Bouquets: You can buy rhinestone flower pins and stick them in the flowers. Use
rhinestone strips and glue them around the stems.
#10-The Dress / Accessories: You can glam up any dress by adding a rhinestone brooch.
Use rhinestone clip-on earrings on plain shoes. I checked garage sales and flea markets.
The key to a low-budget bling wedding is patience.
