Being a mom doesn’t always leave me with time or money to go running to the spa for a day. I have tried a few OTC facials from my local drugstore and just wasn’t happy with the long list of chemical laden ingredients. Here are some natural peels that I like a lot better.
If you are like me and most of the time your nose is riddled with tiny (and not so tiny) blackheads, then this peel is for you. Simply wash face, lightly beat two egg whites, add tbsp of lemon juice, and apply the mask. Let it sit for 15-20 min or until stiff, and then peel off!
Anti- Aging Facial Peel
Now, this one is from Dr. Oz, so I really hope it works! You put 2 tbsp of yogurt in a small bowl and add 2 tbsp of honey and mix those together. Apply to face, let sit 15 minutes, then peel off. Dr. Oz recommends this peel once a week.
Glowing Skin Peel
This one is from indianbeautyspot.com, and they suggest mixing the fresh pulp of 1 Tamarind with honey to make a paste, let it sit for 15 minutes, and then peel it off. Tamarind is known for being high in antioxidants and Vitamin C.
I got this recipe from my grandma: Take 1 packet of unflavored gelatin and mix with 2 tbsp of milk. Let sit and peel off.
Dry Skin Peel
Add 1 Avocado, 1 egg white and 1/2 tsp lemon juice in a bowl. Combine all ingredients to make a paste. Apply to skin and wait and wait for it to dry, rinse with cool water.
