I have come to the realization that many put an almost obsessive emphasis on how beauty is perceived. Often, fashion prone individuals want to imitate the person seen in magazines. Although, men can be a victim of idolizing other masculine types, this is truer when it comes to women. They might frequently compare themselves to the model in the latest issue. The slender or curvaceous form excites envy from the viewer. The beautiful hair seems to radiate from the pages, reflecting the image of a goddess. Women desire the exact same look. On the other hand, some men see television programs that promote endeavors to obtain a perfect physique. The subtle implications are you will have a better chance attracting women. It is sad to say, most of these magazines and exercise programs prey on people’s insecurities. As a result, our society becomes brainwashed into thinking beauty is what’s most important; hence, the one who is uncertain about his or her looks feels unattractive.
My advice to this group is look beyond the physical makeup. Most people, who based relationships on looks alone, often have issues with commitment. They come to find themselves unsatisfied as it regards their partner. There is a constant searching for better, yet never achieving the fulfillment of their insatiable desires. Contrary to this, are those who might be deemed less attractive. They appreciate their significant other, and are more likely to be faithful in a relationship. Furthermore, I have seen those who had not what you would call elegance, but exuded a great amount of charm; thus the handsome male found love with a plain female, or the gorgeous woman fell deeply for the less comely man. Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder.
Scientists a while ago found a certain species of fish. It is known as the ugliest vertebrate in the sea. Initially, it was thought the animal swam alone. The tropical colored fish do not even seek its company. Finally, scientist discovered a small object following the seemingly miserable marine animal. Upon exploring it, they found it to be the companion of the fish. Amazing, even nature teaches there is someone for everyone. In conclusion, beauty is not that which we see, but that what we don’t see. This applies to all who feels inadequate to find the joys of love. There is nothing better than coming to the realization of this for self.
