I recently began taking Buzzfeed quizzes through Facebook. I think quizzes are fun and apparently, so do my friends. Everyone is posting their results and the ensuring comments are hysterical. So far I am an astronaut (career), Born in the USA (80’s song), the wicked Witch of the West (fairy tale witch), the 50s (my perfect decade), Led Zeppelin (rock band), and sushi (food). Here are my favorite four online quiz sites.
This is a sample of the Combine scouting personality quiz that NFL scouts use to analyze the players. There are two versions:
50 questions in 12 minutes
15 questions in 3 minutes and 36 seconds
I am slow like molasses, so I did not finish either test. Sorry, I can’t tell you how I did, but don’t think I will be drafted. I read that RGIII scored a 24% when he took it. Johnny Manziel needs to work on his speed in order to finish it.
If you do not want to surf around to locate your quizzes, this is your spot. There are celebrity, career, and personality tests, among others. I took ” What’s Your Super Power? ” After answering ten questions, I learned my super power was Enhanced Intelligence. I love these tests. Lifetime has a free app that will link you to the quizzes, as well as the television shows and news for the A&E network, or you use their site.
This site also has multiple quizzes. I took the true nerd test. I guessed my way through the 100-point quiz on weird math equations and scientific theories.
I scored a 51% nerd rank. I am more nerd than 51% of the population. Yay.
There is a free app, you can access it from the website, or link it through your Facebook as I have done. The FB sync is fun because you can share your results with your friends. I shared all of my results but my food, sushi. Just too weird.
People want to be validated by others; it is our nature. And immediate gratification is even more fun. The quizzes provide an easy and fun outlet for us to proclaim to the world that we have superior intelligence, are a cool band, and are the cuddliest dog breed. And if you do not like your results (sushi, really?) you do not have to post them or can hit delete. Now I am off to see which Sesame Street character I am.
