“American Horror Story” quickly became a cult classic when it first appeared on our screens in 2011. Back then, it was all about the murder house. Following that, we were welcomed into the Asylum, and last year, fans joined the Coven. By now, fans already know this year’s title is “American Horror Story: Freak Show” and that it will be set in the circus in the 1950s. But what else has recently revealed about the popular show’s upcoming season?
Lily Rabe may not return
Lily Rabe has starred in every season of “American Horror Story” so far, and we’ve seen her put in some amazing performances, most notably as Sister Mary Eunice in Season 2, and the kooky Misty Day in Season 3. However, Rabe has landed a role in a new ABC series, “Whispers” which means we may not see her join the Freak Show. This is sad news, mostly because she is a spectacular actress who has surprised fans every year with her performances. However, it’s pretty cool to see Lily striking out and doing something new, too!
There’s a killer clown
Fans of the show who are scared of clowns may need to turn away a lot during the new season. “American Horror Story: Freak Show” is set to have a killer clown, and show creator Ryan Murphy says it will be “the most terrifying clown ever”. We know from the antics of Rubber Man and Bloody Face that Murphy can create the kind of evil characters that can keep fans awake at night, so it will be interesting to see what this killer clown will do.
Introducing Michael Chiklis
New additions to the cast are always exciting, and AHS addicts usually wait on the edge of their seats to see who will sign up next. Last year’s additions of Angela Bassett and Kathy Bates went down a storm, and this year, Michael Chiklis has hopped on board too. Chiklis has been in several TV shows and movies, including “The Shield” and “No Ordinary Family”. There is no news on what kind of role he will play in “American Horror Story” this year, but right now, he is favourite to play the killer clown!
