Crafts, holiday themed activities, one-on-one visits with the Easter Bunny, and an outdoor Easter egg hunt will commence at the conclusion of breakfast. Spend your afternoon on Sunday, April 6 aboard the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad’s Easter Bunny Express. The Easter Bunny has a lot planned for this scenic train ride through the valley, however, you’ll have to take a ride yourself to find out! The Easter Bunny Express takes you to the Peninsula Depot Train Station where a bus is waiting to take passengers to the Happy Days Lodge for a puppet show, crafts, and an Easter egg hunt. On Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13 Akron Glass Works will be hosting a glass blowing workshop to design and create your very own Easter egg shaped paperweight! Classes are held at 1:00pm and 3:00pm each day and cost $55.00/person. Akron Glass Works is accepting five people per two-hour class so book your class today! Reservations must be paid in advance. Portage Lake’s Kiwanis Club is hosting the Lakes annual Easter Egg Hunt this year on Saturday, April 19 at the Tudor House in New Franklin. The egg hunt begins at noon sharp but attendees are encouraged to arrive as early as 10:30am to take advantage of the various Easter activities, the giant Bounce House, and the fresh donuts and hot chocolate! The Easter Egg Hunt is completely free of charge and all ages are welcome to participate (the hunt will be divided into specific age groups).
