Chaos with names called none being my own
I know it is HE that asked me to walk this road
A whole pallet of colors indulges our sight
But only two are acknowledged, black and the other white
As I embark this dark path to a white school with white rules
I enter a white class where the color black is another Jew
White people with the darkest glance that give me self-doubt
My black presence ignored when the white kids white out
Recess as the reject
Lunch is a hunch
Consequences I contemplate as white kid gives me a punch
Cause of that
Cause I’m black?
Cause my naps?
Cause I lack?
WHAT IS IT?
We all just people
We all just equal right?
It’s sad a whole pallet of color is overshadowed by black and white
