A Day Trip in Germany
A day trip to Munich, Germany
My favorite place to visit in Germany is Munich, Germany. My husband has been there before so he took me there. I fell in love with the people, castles, and food. Oh my goodness the food! It makes a nice day trip to visit the castles build by King Ludwig II. The Neuschwanstein Castle was the inspiration for Walt Disney castle for “Sleeping Beauty” and the Linderhof Castle. Neuschwanstein Castle, Linderhof Castle, Beer Gardens in Munich, Germany
The Neuschwanstein Castle was King Ludwig II summer castle. The tour is an hour long; however, if time is not an issue there is a five-hour tour. The Linderhof Castle was King Ludwig II winter castle. All the picture frames and furnishings are covered in pure gold. The King designed this castle after the French. This also an hour tour; however, if time is not an issue there is also a five hour tour. There is also the famous Clock, Glockenspeil. When this clock chimes, all the figures move. At the end of a full day the beer gardens are great place to unwind.
