Downtown Los Angeles AKA DTLA is rapidly becoming the most popular spot in the city to live, shop and eat. It’s also one of the best places in Los Angeles to find cold-pressed raw juices. Here are five great juice bars in DTLA:
Inside the rapidly changing Grand Central Market (317 South Broadway), Press Brothers offers the standard cold-pressed, all-organic juices. They have some cool (and spicy) unique flavors to add to the fun. 16 ounce juices are $8 and the 12 ounce servings are $6.
I like this place because they’ve been in DTLA longer than the other juice bars and came before the most recent wave of development when things were more gritty. Sustain Juicery (548 South Spring Street) is in the heart of the Old Bank District. They know their audience and offer specials like 10% off with your Coachella wristband. Juices and smoothies are from $7-$9 and full cleanse programs are offered.
Earthbar is a chain of juice bars with three free-standing stores in LA and the rest inside trendy Equinox gym locations. The DTLA location (444 South Flower Street) has a good selection of juices and snacks. They sell a lot of vitamins and supplements and offer several cleanse plans.
Cold-pressed, all-organic juices are served, with a focus on health and cleansing plans. Juice Crafters (702 South Spring Street) promotes a fresh, farm-to-cup process with a nice selection of fresh, raw juices. Most 16 ounce servings are $6.95.
Dr. J’s Vibrant Cafe
This new organic, health food restaurant also serves fresh, raw juices. Owned by a doctor, Dr. J’s Vibrant Cafe (334 South Main Street) focuses on delivering fresh, healthy food. There is a good selection of juices, smoothies and organic cleansing teas. The food is delicious, I enjoy bringing non-vegetarians here, who are always amazed how good it is.
