Palazzo pants are one of this summer’s hottest looks for women. Here are 4 basic tips on how to style your palazzo pants.
Chunky Wedges and Sandals
Since palazzo pants run long, I have found it best to wear chunky styled wedges and sandals with this look. The height gives some room between the hem and the ground as well as giving the pants a dressy edge. I personally avoid ballet flats or any “office” style pump, as this will give you a very dated look (think of office workers circa 1995). Keep your shoes on trend with this particular look.
Crop Sleeve Form Fitting Top
I personally avoid tank tops when I wear palazzo pants. The reason being is that these are a very casual style pant, and if not dressed up correctly can look like pajamas. A nice form fitting top with short sleeves works divinely with palazzo pants. Since the pants are your statement piece, go with a solid color top.
Nothing can dress up a casual look like fun jewelry! Fun statement necklaces, bracelets, and earrings are a great way to dress up this look. I personally like to rock bohemian style jewelry with this style. Jewelry in golds, browns, and other earth tones look awesome. I also like to wear lots of boho style rings as well.
Dressy Hair and Make-Up
Correlating with the pajama warning, ALWAYS make sure your hair and make-up is somewhat dressy. When you style a very casual look, it is always imperative that you give your face and hair some extra care, otherwise you will look like you just rolled out of bed. For the palazzo pant, form fitting shirt look I like to wear my hear down in long wavy curls. I wear full eye make up and lipstick in whatever color looks best with the pants.
