The next time you have a snack attack and are eager to munch on oily and junk foods, think about it again! It’s time to grab something tasty and healthy as well. Try spiced up roast peanuts instead for a filling and a nutritious snack!
Things you’ll need:
2 cups peanuts
1/4 cup cut green onions (French onion)
1 tsp red chili flakes or powder
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp olive oil or butter
Roughly makes 2 servings
Step 1: Dry roast peanuts in a pan. Remove them from the pan.
Note: Dry roasting peanuts for long will remove the skin. If you want to enjoy whole peanuts limit the time of dry roasting.
Step 2: Add olive oil or butter to the pan. Add the peanuts and the green onions. Sprinkle chili flakes (or chili powder) and salt. Roast for a minute.
Step 3: Mix with lemon juice and enjoy!
Kid Friendly Version:
Use butter instead of olive oil.
Replace chili flakes or powder with paprika
Make lemon juice and green onions optional and serve snack peanuts with their favorite soup!
