Have you ever gone shopping for your mom for mothers day or a friend for their birthday and get stumped on what to buy them? It seems as if every time I turn around I am buying someone a gift whether it is a birthday, anniversary, wedding, house warming or just a thank you gift. Over my years of gift giving I have stumbled across wow-factor gifts for a price that I can afford. Here are three of my favorite gift ideas for the women in my life:
Diamond Candles – The first time I came across Diamond Candles was on Instagram when one of my friends had received one as a gift. Diamond Candles is a company that sells Ring Candles. Ring Candles are 21 oz candles that come in many fresh, food and fruity fragrances. Why are they called ring candles, you ask? Well, each and every candle has a diamond ring inside. Yes, you heard me correctly! I said diamond ring. The value of the ring will range between $10 and $5,000 and the rings come in the most popular sizes. The best part is that you could give possibly give someone a candle with a $5,000 ring inside and only pay $24.95 for it! Some of the scents include Vanilla Lime, Cinnamon Roll, Pomegranate Lemonade and Pink Macaroon. The website also sells classic candles in a smaller 12 oz jar for $19.95
Gift Baskets – Creating my own personalized gift baskets for people is one of my favorite gifts to give. I enjoy this one so much you can get pretty fancy with it for an affordable price. You can find wooden baskets for cheap at thrift stores/second hand stores like Value Village. Once you have your basket you can decide what type of gift basket you want to create. Some of my favorites are movie night baskets where I include microwavable popcorn, some candy, a DVD or two (you can find pretty good ones in the $5 DVD bin at Wal*Mart) and a cold beverage or you could do a spa gift basket that could include things like body lotion, body spray, nail polish, nail accessories, face masks, nail stickers. Last but not least, all you need is some tissue paper to spice up the basket and here is an easy gift that can be put together for $25 or less.
Mixed CD’s – Yes, I know this sounds a little old school but who gets tired of listening to music? Exactly, no one. Last mothers day I put together a “Songs that Remind Me of You” CD for my mom. It was super easy because most of the songs I chose were already on my iTunes, I might have bought $5 worth of additional songs from iTunes. I then created a little flip book out of my left over scrap booking supplies that included each song in order they were on the CD with pictures of my mom and the rest of my family.
Be creative and have fun!
