1. Cleveland Cavaliers
Jabari Parker, Small Forward, Duke
Would have been Embiid if he stayed healthy, but since he needs foot surgery the Cavs will take the surest talent in the draft.
2. Milwaukee Bucks
Dante Exum, Point Guard, Australia
Brandon Knight needs to be replaced because he was outplayed by his opponents. Contrary to popular belief Exum is not a stretch if he goes second overall.
3. Philadelphia 76ers
Andrew Wiggins, Shooting Guard/Small Forward, Kansas
Andrew Wiggins is the wing scorer the 76ers want and need, if he can reach his full potential the Sixers will have a solid team in the years to come.
4. Orlando Magic
Joel Embiid, Center, Kansas
Reminds me of Sam Bowie because he is a dominant player who struggles to stay healthy. Even with Vucevic the Magic should take the best available player even if it means waiting for him to rehab his foot.
5. Utah Jazz
Noah Vonleh, Power Forward, Indiana
He is bigger, faster, stronger, and a better shooter than Randle, and Gordon. Has been Utah’s top priority since the draft order was finalized.
6. Boston Celtics
Julius Randle, Power Forward, Kentucky
It is a toss up between Gordon and Randle, but I believe the Celtics will take the more aggressive and polished offensive player.
7. Los Angeles Lakers
Marcus Smart, Point Guard, Oklahoma State
With Randle off the board the Lakers will look to fill another hole. As Nash ages they will need a replacement and Smart is a big time player when healthy.
8. Sacramento Kings
Aaron Gordon, Power Forward, Arizona
If they can extent Thomas, Gay, and Cousins, Gordon will have an easy transition in the NBA. This could lead to them being able to compete.
9. Charlotte Hornets
Doug McDermott, Small/Power Forward, Creighton
The Hornets need scoring and that is what McDermott does best. Lacks size and speed, but his scoring touch is unlike any other prospect in the draft.
10. Philadelphia 76ers
Nik Stauskas, Shooting Guard, Michigan
Need a big time, go to scorer and Stauskas fits that profile. He is a lights out shooter plus he will fit in nicely with rebound machine Noel, assist machine Carter-Williams, and Mr. Hustle Thad Young.
11. Denver Nuggets
Gary Harris, Shooting Guard, Michigan State
Fits in the Nuggets run and gun system nicely alongside Lawson and is the one of the best on-ball defenders in the draft.
12. Orlando Magic
Elfrid Payton, Point Guard, Louisiana Lafayette
Best point guard on the board and will be able to transition into the starting point guard position. Jameer Nelson is 32 years old and does not have much longer as a starter.
13. Minnesota Timberwolves
Dario Saric, Power Forward, Croatia
With the inevitable departure of Kevin Love, the Timberwolves will look to fill the void and while Saric is no Kevin Love he his a good player with high potential.
14. Phoenix Suns
James Young, Shooting Guard/Small Forward, Kentucky
The Suns just missed the playoffs and could use more scoring, thankfully James Young will provide exactly that.
15. Atlanta Hawks
Jusuf Nurkic, Center, Bosnia
He is a large center who can use his weight to his ability and become a rebounding monster. Putting him alongside Horford would give the Hawks a very heavy big man duo.
16. Chicago Bulls
Zach Lavine, Point Guard, UCLA
DJ Augustine is a free agent and Rose cannot stay healthy. Lavine is a raw talent who can play point guard and shooting guard. He resembles Russell Westbrook when he was a draft prospect.
17. Boston Celtics
T.J. Warren, Small Forward, NC State
Pure scorer that will fit in nicely with the Celtics alongside Rondo’s passing ability and solid big men.
18. Phoenix Suns
Rodney Hood, Shooting Guard, Duke
Will add length to a very small backcourt and has nice shooting touch.
19. Chicago Bulls
Adreian Payne, Power Forward, Michigan State
Big man with ability to shoot from the outside, he is a four year college player and should be able to start right away alongside Noah.
20. Toronto Raptors
Tyler Ennis, Point Guard, Syracuse
Both Lowry and Vasquez are free agents and it is unlikely that Toronto will be able to resign both of them. Ennis would be able to fit in either a starting or bench role.
21. Oklahoma Thunder
Jarnell Stokes, Power Forward, Tennessee
Averaged a double-double in college and would be a quality player off the bench when Ibaka and/or Perkins run into foul trouble.
22. Memphis Grizzles
Cleanthony Early, Small Forward, Wichita State
The Grizzles’ offense was 2.3% worse than any other playoff team. Early is the most pro ready and the best shooter available.
23. Utah Jazz
K.J. McDaniels, Small Forward, Clemson
Better shooter and defender than Grant, and the Jazz can wait for him to reach his potential because they are still very young and not ready to content.
24. Charlotte Hornets
Clint Capela, Power Forward, Switzerland
Need a power forward since McRoberts opted out of his contract and may not return. Even if he does Capela will be a solid bench player behind him and Jefferson.
25. Houston Rockets
P.J. Hairston, Shooting Guard, North Carolina
The Rockets struggled with getting scoring off their bench, but if they are able to pick up Hairston the bench will increase mightily.
26. Miami Heat
Shabazz Napier, Point Guard, UConn
With Chalmers likely not resigning with the Heat, Miami will be stuck with Cole. Although he outplayed Chalmers at time this season, drafting another point guard is important to build up the bench.
27. Phoenix Suns
Kyle Anderson, Power Forward, UCLA
Need a big body to grab rebound because no one on the Suns finished in the top 30 in rebounds per game last season.
28. Los Angeles Clippers
Mitch McGary, Power Forward, Michigan
Struggled to find a quality big man that could come off the bench. Thankfully for Clipper fans this means the end of the Glen Davis era in Los Angeles.
29. Oklahoma City Thunder
Jordan Adams, Shooting Guard, UCLA
Sefolosha is a free agent, however Adams will be an upgrade because he has scoring ability and is a very good defender.
30. San Antonio Spurs
Jordan Clarkson, Point Guard, Missouri
Even though they have Patty Mills, Clarkson is the best player available. Clarkson will only add to a very strong bench, and the Spurs have shown a good bench wins championships,
