Antioxidants are both a chemical compound or substance that inhibits oxidation and a substance, such as vitamin E, vitamin C, or beta carotene, thought to protect body cells from the damaging effects of oxidation. Basically, antioxidants help our bodies to get rid of foreign material that it does not need or that is not good for it. They are known to help a wide range of our body’s overall health. These days a lot of people are becoming more health conscious about antioxidants in case they may be helping a lot. Here is a list of a few foods containing antioxidants.
1. Green tea
As you can tell, most of them can be found in fruits and also in a wide variety of berries. There are a lot of other foods that contain them that can easily be fount at the supermarket. So, the next time you go to the store, keep these foods in mind to stay pro-antioxidant active!
